Minnetonka Community Education is seeking energetic and creative staff to join our Explorers school-age child care program.  As a Child Care Assistant, you will supervise and engage with children in grades K-5. If you are passionate about our mission to help all students envision and pursue their highest aspirations while serving the greater good, we encourage you to apply.

Your Role Will Include:

• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for children.
• Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children.
• Set up and clean up classroom activities.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.

Qualifications:

• Age 18 or older. 
• HS Diploma or GED. 
• No prior child care experience is required, but must have an interest in working with children.
• Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Location & Shift Times:

• Multiple Elementary Schools in the district.
• Start late August 2025.
• After-school shift from 2:30 PM - 6 PM, start time may vary by location.
