Job description/Responsibilities: FULL-TIME EXEMPT
AM SHIFT
APPROXIMATE PAY RANGE:
$248,571.00 - $414,285.00
JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) is a senior medical leader who oversees the day to day medical services within St. Rose Hospital?s core acute care. The ACMO reports to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and works closely with the Chief Nursing Executive and Nursing Leadership.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Acts as executive sponsor for key quality improvement initiatives.
-Attend the Medical Executive committee, peer review committees, and patient safety and quality committee: reporting on important and relevant operational safety and efficiency.
-Champion interdisciplinary, team-based approaches to achieving best practices, and advocate for collaboration across clinical specialties, sites of care, and continuum of care to provide an integrated approach to safe, patient-centered, high quality care.
-Champions and models the vision and mission of St. Rose Hospital and promotes a culture of safety, equity, and quality patient care.
-Champions interdisciplinary, team-based approaches to achieving best practices, and advocating for collaboration across clinical specialties, sites of care and continuum of care to provide an integrated approach to safe, patient centered, high quality care.
-Champions special projects as assigned by the CAO to improve efficiency, quality and improve operations. Oversee implementation of programs.
-Champions the vision and mission of St. Rose Hospital and promotes a culture of safety and quality patient care.
-Conducts all Physician leadership evaluations, provides guidance, coaching, performance management and overall leadership development to physician leadership and direct reports.
-Creates, reviews, edits, updates and shepherds policies as Co-Chair Clinical Practice Council.

Required Qualification: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Preferred Experience: Experience in quality and patient safety.
2. Required Education: Doctorate of Medicine and Board certification in respective specialty.
3. Required Experience: Seven years of experience as a leader in a large healthcare organization; experience with change management, physician leadership, clinic and program development. Demonstrated experience with
diverse healthcare settings.
4. Required Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State of California.
5. Sexual Harassment/Bullying Prevention Certification required within 30 days of hire.
