Chemical Production Operator (C Operator) - Manufacturing

Title: Chemical Production Operator (C Operator) 
Location: Wharton, TX (77435)
Salary: $21-$22/HR DOE + Overtime + Benefits

Shift Hours: M-F (PitMan Schedule) Day Shift 8am-8pm + Night Shift 8pm-8am (Schedule Rotates between Day & Nights)

-Monday, Tuesday off Wednesday &Thursday + On Friday, Saturday & Sunday + FLIPS the following week. 

 

What You Will Be Doing

Align and perform chemical transfers from reaction or blend units to the packaging area.
Perform daily rounds for regulatory and other plant equipment.
Perform duties as outlined by the ERP (Emergency Response Plan).
Perform blend operations under the guidance of an A/B Operator or LEAD.
Notify the LEAD of any abnormalities found while performing job functions.

Stage and label packaging containers accurately.
Package materials as required and maintain quality standards of packaged products.
Document packaged product.
Perform bulk tank truck loading/unloading as required.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Additional duties as assigned.

Dispose of packaging materials and waste responsibly, following environmental guidelines.
Collaborate with the team to ensure environmental sustainability practices are upheld.

Adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure Operators utilize appropriate PPE for assigned tasks.
Follow established regulatory protocols for material handling and unloading procedures.
Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to safety policies.
Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to operations and material handling.

 

What You Need for this Position

Manual dexterity
Record keeping
Written and verbal communication

Chemical transfers
Pump operation.
Basic tool usage
Basic chemistry and chemical property knowledge
Basic physics knowledge
General plant utility knowledge

6+ Months of Chemical Production, 2 Years Desired 
Computer literacy
