In the Clinical Reviewer (RN) role, you will work under the direction of the supervisor of the team performing clinical reviews and abstractions of assigned cases related to a maternal death or to an adverse event that occurred during an outpatient surgical procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong analytical and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
• The ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
• The ability to prioritize reviews and projects to be completed.
• Proficient in the use of standard office technology and basic Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
• Ability to gather and analyze information from records, reports, and other sources.
• Knowledgeable of current disease/care management/coordination trends, prefered.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in New York State, required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or graduate of an approved Registered Professional Nurses training program, required.
• Four (4) years of clinical practice experience in a facility or community based setting including medical, surgical, and/or obstetrical experience, required.
• Two (2) years of acute care hospital experience, required.
• Experience in an acute or ambulatory care healthcare facility reviewing charts for the purpose of quality improvement or utilization review, preferred.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $75,000.00 – $90,000.00. Actual salary range and /or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
