Job Title: Lathe Machinist – Oil Field Threads (Fanuc Controls)

Shift: Days

Location: West Tulsa

Pay $18-$24

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lathe Machinist with proven experience in machining oil field threads, including Stub Acme and API threads , using Fanuc CNC controls . The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of thread specifications and be capable of producing high-precision parts to meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills equipped with Fanuc controls.
• Machine oil field components with a strong focus on Stub Acme and API threading.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and threading specifications.
• Use measuring tools (micrometers, thread gauges, calipers, etc.) to verify dimensions and thread quality.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and ensure quality production.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and quality checks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a machinist in an oil field or related industry.
• Strong working knowledge of Fanuc CNC controls.
• Experience running Stub Acme and API thread forms to industry specs.
• Ability to read and interpret machining drawings and thread standards (API, ASME, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred:

• Experience with manual machines and secondary operations.
• Familiarity with G-code programming and editing.
• Knowledge of oil field components such as subs, collars, and drill pipe.
