OVERVIEW : Meridian Manufacturing based in Ballston Spa, NY is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and be proficient in operating various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. As a Machinist, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the production of high-quality components used in diverse industries.

Job Summary:

• \n Machine Operation: Operate and maintain machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications.
\n
• \n Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand project requirements and ensure accurate machining.
\n
• \n Setup and Calibration: Set up machines, including loading and adjusting tools, fixtures, and workpieces. Calibrate machines to achieve precise measurements and tolerances.
\n
• \n Material Selection and Inspection: Select appropriate materials for machining based on project requirements. Inspect raw materials and finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
\n
• \n Tool Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Sharpen or replace cutting tools as needed.
\n
• \n Quality Control: Conduct quality checks throughout the machining process to verify dimensions, surface finishes, and other specifications.
\n
• \n Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
\n
• \n Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
\n
• \n Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for traceability and quality assurance purposes.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
\n
• Proficiency in operating manual and Qualifications CNC machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and precision measuring instruments.
\n
• Strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
\n
• Solid understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and materials.
\n

• Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
\n
• Commitment to safety and compliance with workplace regulations.
\n
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is preferred.
\n

Physical demands: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employees is regularly required to stand; use hands and reach with hands and arms.

Schedule: 8-hour shift (day required)

Work Location: In person (Ballston Spa, NY)
