Email Marketing Specialist II (7-Month W2 Contract)
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $30–$38/hour (depending on experience)
Employment Type: W2 Contract (7 months)

About the Team

This role supports a leading cloud gaming service within a large global tech and entertainment organization. The team collaborates closely with internal partners across digital entertainment lines including music, video, and publishing. This is a small, fast-paced, and collaborative marketing group that values ownership, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.

Position Overview

The Marketing Specialist II will lead and execute outbound email marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement, traffic, and acquisition. This individual will partner cross-functionally with creative, analytics, product, and legal teams to deliver effective campaigns and provide performance insights that support strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute outbound email marketing campaigns end-to-end.
  • Collaborate with internal and external marketing teams to create and maintain an editorial calendar.
  • Develop workback schedules, manage campaign timelines, and coordinate creative requests and approvals.
  • Build customer segments within internal marketing tools and manage campaign setup.
  • Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and quality across all email sends.
  • Track, analyze, and report campaign performance, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with legal, analytics, engineering, and product teams to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
  • Support strategic initiatives and product launches across international markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a B2B marketing role, with proven success in traffic generation and lead acquisition.
  • Hands-on experience in email marketing (must be clear on the resume and in write-up).
  • Strong background in marketing analytics and A/B testing.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of outbound marketing and merchandising.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large-scale technology or entertainment organizations.
  • Familiarity with internal marketing tools such as Bullseye, SONAR, Content Symphony, or Everest.
  • Prior experience with email marketing for gaming, cloud services, or digital entertainment products.
  • Demonstrated success using data to inform campaign strategy and optimization.

Team Environment & Culture

  • Weekly team syncs and smaller breakout sessions for collaboration.
  • Hybrid role with the core team based in Seattle and additional stakeholders across the West Coast.
  • Outbound marketing is a key strategic channel, offering significant impact and visibility.
