Position Summary
Assist Exercise Physiology lab director and faculty with administrativeresponsibilities including, but not limited to, laboratory and equipmentmaintenance and inventory, managing social media accounts, assisting withrecruitment events, assisting with community and internal client testscheduling and operationalization, assisting in front desk demands, including,but not limited to, phone and email replies, assisting in testing of UNM'sstaff, faculty and students and community. Lab assistant must be able toperform the following testing: maximal oxygen consumption test and restingmetabolic rate using a metabolic cart, body composition by hydrostatic weighing,air displacement plethysmograph, bioimpedance assessment. Lab assistant must beactively enrolled in the Exercise Science undergraduate or graduate program,and must have had or be currently interning in the UNM Exercise Physiology Labsto be eligible for employment in this position.


Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Preferred Qualifications

Must have experience working or assisting in the Exercise Science Laboratory and be currently in either the undergraduate or graduate Exercise Science program.
