Join us as our new Feed Quality & Forage Management Specialist. The FQFM will be responsible for supporting on-farm sales in the Central Plains Region in collaboration with the Novonesis Silage Specialist and Key Account Managers. The position will focus on assisting with the execution of several value-adding programs offered to Novonesis Animal Health & Nutrition customers, as well as specific customer service tasks. This position can be located in Eastern Colorado, Western Kansas, or Southwest Nebraska.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

• Maintaining silage and plant health product application equipment across the Central Plains / West Region (KS, NE, CO).
• Participating in the SiloSolve S.A.F.E. Program including on-farm silage safety presentations for customers.
• Taking silage samples when needed and providing lab reports.
• Taking forage inventories (possibly with the use of drone technology in the future).
• Assisting customers with inventory control, planning for future needs.
• Mapping out silage piles and storage structures for optimal size for the operation.
• Assisting with data collection for special projects such as silage and/or plant health field trials.
• Participating in sales visits when needed.
• Generating leads and following up with appropriate Account Manager
• Interacting regularly with AHN Silage Specialist, Key Account Managers, and Regional Manager.

To succeed you must hold:

• To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have a strong interest in agriculture and basic mechanical skills. The ideal candidate will have an Associate or Bachelor degree in an ag related curriculum such as Animal Science, Ag Business, Agronomy, or Farm Operations.
• The ideal candidate will also have at least 2-3 years of work experience in either ag business or production agriculture.
• The candidate needs to possess a working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs.
• The candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work from home and independently of others.
• The candidate must be able to adapt to a changing environment and be flexible to change course when needed.
• The candidate will need to travel most of the time (at least 4 out of 5 days), and at least 50% of this will be overnight travel. Some travel by airplane will be necessary. Ideal candidate would reside within a 2.5-hour radius of Goodland, KS. The main states covered will be Western Kansas, Western Nebraska, and Eastern Colorado with the potential to expand into other regions of the US.
• A company vehicle and travel expenses will be provided.
