Join to apply for the IT PACS Sr Systems Administrator role at CommonSpirit Health Job Responsibilities Oversee the complete administration of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and related medical imaging applications infrastructure. Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of PACS and related medical imaging applications software and hardware components. Facilitate the resolution and documentation of major incidents and outages in the production environment. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals to optimize PACS system use. Monitor and optimize PACS performance, resolving issues to ensure uninterrupted access to medical imaging data. Provide technical support and training to end-users, troubleshooting complex issues. Implement process changes, collect data, and recommend workflow improvements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of processes and respond to user requests and concerns. Inform leadership of system changes, problems, and upgrades. Mentor junior PACS administrators and address complex issues. Implement and enforce data security protocols to protect patient information. Coordinate with cybersecurity and IT teams for system security and integration. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance PACS capabilities. Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to PACS administration. Lead planning and execution of PACS upgrades, migrations, and expansions. Ensure all SLAs are met and work within the supported facilities' proximity requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 100% onsite position Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Medical Imaging, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field 7+ years of PACS administration experience, including system implementation and optimization Proficiency in PACS software and hardware, with understanding of medical imaging workflows Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of healthcare data security regulations and compliance Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Leadership abilities to guide a team Attention to detail and organizational skills Commitment to continuous learning in PACS advancements Overview Inspired by faith.
