The Maintenance Mechanic at Boeing is responsible for maintaining production and facility equipment, performing inspections, and assisting with complex mechanical repairs and inventory management. The role requires mechanical skills across machine repair, automotive, and facility maintenance, and includes diagnosing and repairing air compressors. This full-time onsite position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is in search of Maintenance Mechanics in support of the site in Berkeley, MO .

The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid fundamental understanding of various Mechanical competencies to include: Mechanic Machine Repair, Maintenance Mechanic All-Around, Mechanic Automotive, and Facility Maintenance

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining production equipment. Perform daily inspections and complete associated paperwork. Maintain maintenance periodic inspection plan and perform to plan
• Assist in maintaining building and infrastructure equipment
• Assist in maintaining inventory control of support equipment
• Maintain support equipment facility
• Assist in planning and performing unusual and difficult work where standard or recognized inspection methods may not be available
• Assist in performing a sequence of operations where standard methods may not be available Care and judgment to fit and adjust parts and assemblies to requirements and specifications
• Assist in performing a sequence of operations where standard methods may or may not be available. Utilizing problem solving and considerable judgment necessary to perform complex operations
• Diagnose, repair, or maintaining rotatory screw or centrifugal air compressors

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location option.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Experience in Facilities Maintenance
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in Inventory Management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Forklift Certifed

Additional Information:

• The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.

• This is an hourly position that will be governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.

• New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. All new employees, rehires without seniority or transfers from outside of IAM 837 jurisdiction, shall be regarded as probationary during their first one hundred twenty (120) calendar days of employment. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required training and the probationary period.

A new hire sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Summary pay range: $24.65 /hourly - $34.65/hourly
