We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing hands on medical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office/hospital. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Escort/interview patients to exam rooms and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update medical records and insurance / pharmacy info
• Arrange prescriptions and laboratory services
• Assist during medical examinations which include assist in post-op dressings, wound-care, minor office procedures
• Work as a collaborative team to support efficient patient care
• Align with the values, mission and vision of the practice
• Required to take X-Rays of the lower extremity
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

​ Qualifications:

• Previous experience working experience as a medical assistant
• Strong organizational skills and planning skills
• Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures​
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Surgical experience (preferred)
• EMR - ModMed Trained (preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
• Training or certified in medical assistant
