Job Description
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensures all food handling areas are sanitized and disinfected for the safety of employees, patients, and guests
+ Exhibits a high degree of knowledge in food preparation and food production
+ Accurately portion meals and beverages, including attention to detail concerning dietary restrictions
+ Supports team members in all areas of food services, including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage, etc
**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe® Allergen and Food Handler Certifications. If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

**Overview**
As our Nutrition Assistant I at CHI St. Vincent, you will directly interact with patients and visitors every day. You will personally ensure all dining areas are safely sanitized, well-stocked, and food is appropriately prepared. You understand most guests at our facility are dining with us for a reason and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about.
Every day, you will serve the patients, families, and staff nutritious food that promotes health and healing to the body. You will be expected to set up trays for the hospital patients, following posted menu requests from the patient room service program while taking individual likes and dislikes into account. You will also be collecting dirty trays and dishes from the patient care areas and cleaning dishes in an automatic dishwasher, and returning these dishes to the proper storage areas

**Pay Range**
$15.00 - $20.33 /hour
