Job Description

This role is crucial within the Vitamins Manufacturing System (VMS) area, where you will handle various functions such as stacking, sorting, distributing bulk product and materials, hand palletizing, and managing raw materials like bottles, caps, and corrugates. You will also be responsible for the set-up and operation of packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manually sort and de-clump bulk products before the packaging process, removing defects as necessary.
• Supply hoppers with necessary raw materials, including bottles and caps.
• Perform or verify daily operator quality checks as required by the batch record.
• Manually package and manage the loading and unloading of products on the packaging line.
• Assist in line clearance, cleaning, and sanitization procedures as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in packaging, inspection, and production.
• Proficiency in pick/pack inventory management.
• Skills in inspection, packing, labeling, food production, and filling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

The work environment includes shifts from early mornings to overnight, with varying schedules from Monday to Friday and weekend options. The VMS area, where you will be working, involves conveyor and packaging equipment with cleaner conditions compared to other manufacturing zones. Safety is a priority, with strict adherence to protocols in a facility that can be warm due to operational equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
