Part-Time Therapist (LMSW or LPC-A) – Supervision Provided

Location: Madison, CT (In-Person) and New London, CT (In-person)
Job Type: Part-Time (Tues, Thurs and Friday  9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; days are negotiable, additional hours negotiable)
Pay: $30,000 – $50,000 per year, depending on schedule

Are you a LCSW, LPC, LMSW or LPC-A in Connecticut looking for clinical hours toward full licensure? Waterstone Counseling Center offers a supportive and collaborative environment with on-site supervision provided by a licensed LCSW to help you meet your licensure goals.

Waterstone provides both psychotherapy and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services, and we're looking for a dedicated, compassionate therapist to join our Madison office team and a person to join our New London Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong, therapeutic relationships with clients
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions
• Collaborate with our medical team for clients receiving MAT services
• Track and document client progress using electronic health records
• Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with agency policies
• Engage families and refer to outside resources when appropriate

What We’re Looking For

• Currently licensed as LCSW, LPC, LMSW or LPC-A in Connecticut
• Actively working toward full LCSW or LPC licensure
• Passion for client-centered, trauma-informed care
• Experience with substance use and/or MAT (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and recovery-oriented care
• malpractice insurance (minimum coverage 1M/4M)

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field (Required)
• Clinical experience preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with electronic charting systems is a plus

Schedule

• Current needs: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Additional hours may be available
• No weekends required
