Department: 11611 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Guest Services Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 9am-5:30pm, Weekends Included. Pay Range $18.50 - $27.75 9am-5:30pm, Weekends Included. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Prior experience in hospital environment, patient care, and transportation preferred. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: CPR course required within 30 days of hireCompletion of Oxygen Training class with certification for administering oxygen required after hired. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas via wheelchair, stretcher or beds. Maintains a safe environment for patients, self, guests and co-workers. Knowledgeable of transporting patients with oxygen, intravenous pumps and restraints. Communicates to team, co-workers, patients and guests in a positive and professional manner. Takes initiative for performance and professional development. Knowledgeable of all aspects and functionalities of the Transport Tracking System. Provides age/developmentally appropriate assistance in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
