Job Description

Seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations at a specialized facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all plant activities to ensure business objectives are met in a safe, cost-effective, and quality-driven manner. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, accountable for all aspects of plant performance, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and continuously improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with safety goals and lead implementation of effective safety training programs.
• Develop and implement systems to monitor productivity, establish performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement across operations.
• Oversee production operations to ensure alignment with cost targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
• Plan, organize, and direct plant operations to exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain property and equipment in accordance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
• Optimize production capacity, reduce waste, and maintain consistent quality.
• Prepare and present operational reports and performance updates to senior leadership.
• Promote customer satisfaction through timely delivery of high-quality products and services.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or a minimum of 7 years in manufacturing leadership (equivalent experience considered).
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, production, inventory, and supply chain processes.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in chemical operations is highly desirable.
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Demonstrated experience with budgeting, capital planning, and operational forecasting.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, process flow optimization, inventory reduction, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels and with external partners.
