Job Details Position Overview:
We are seeking a Property Management Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for all accounting functions related to assigned properties, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, insurance matters, partner cash distributions, and compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the company owner, property managers, vendors, and banks.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow projections, and rent rolls.
Manage property-level accounting functions and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
Handle insurance-related matters and maintain accurate records.
Process cash distributions to partners and reconcile accounts.
Collaborate with property managers and vendors to resolve accounting issues.
Experience with Yardi Voyager Property Management Software is a plus.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA designation preferred.
Strong understanding of property management accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
