We are currently seeking a Remote Application Resiliency and Business Continuity Engineer to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Application Resiliency and Business Continuity Engineer with strong expertise in disaster recovery, failover testing, and business continuity planning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring critical applications meet recovery objectives (RTO/RPO), coordinating resiliency testing across technology and business teams, and driving communication during recovery events. This role requires a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Continuity & Resiliency
• Design, implement, and maintain application resiliency strategies aligned with enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) frameworks.
• Define, monitor, and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) for critical applications.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, and database teams to ensure resiliency requirements are met.
• Disaster Recovery Engineering
• Lead and coordinate Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and database failover testing , ensuring end-to-end validation of systems and applications.
• Document recovery procedures, track remediation actions, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Collaborate with database administrators, infrastructure, and cloud engineering teams to validate DR strategies.
• Testing & Governance
• Drive regular application resiliency testing cycles, coordinate test execution, and publish results and improvement plans.
• Ensure alignment of test execution with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Track gaps, risks, and issues, and present findings to senior leadership.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management
• Effectively lead and facilitate resiliency calls and DR exercises with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Act as the primary contact during testing and recovery events, ensuring clear, concise, and timely communication.
• Prepare and present post-test reports and continuous improvement recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) engineering .
• Hands-on experience with database failover , application resiliency testing, and infrastructure recovery planning.
• In-depth understanding of RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) concepts and their practical application.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to lead calls and manage stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and drive consensus during critical events.
• Knowledge on cloud-based DR solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
