The Security Transporter is responsible for the safe and timely transport of discharged patients from Holland Hospital to another care facility or secondary location based on that patient's discharge plan. The Security Transporter is responsible for the general care and maintenance of the transportation vehicle. When not involved with patient transport, the Security Transporter will support Security Officer Operations as directed. The Security Transporter is expected to conduct themselves as a professional and courteous representative of Holland Hospital while carrying out these duties. Valid Driver's License and CPR BLS Certification is required.

Employment Type: Part Time

Shift: Mon-Fri 1pm-6pm

Weekly Scheduled Hours: 25

Wage Range: $16.39-$22.95

Requirements:

- High School Diploma/GED or higher education

- BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association

- State of Michigan Drivers License

Performs transportation of discharged patients.

• Arrives on time with the Holland Hospital vehicle to the pick-up location.
• Assists discharged patients into vehicle and secures them in the van.
• Safely transport patient to their destination.
• Assist the patient out of the vehicle and into the destination care facility or secondary location (based on that patient's discharge plan).

Safety and Vehicle maintenance

• Maintains a safe driving record
• Ensures that the Holland Hospital vehicle are kept neat and orderly (interior and exterior) Maintains vehicle gas levels above ¾ tank of a tank at the end of each shift.
• Consistently aware of vehicle condition and maintenance needs in all seasons. Works with manager (or designee) to alert to routine and episodic maintenance needs. Assists in the transport of vehicles for maintenance as requested.

Security Officer Support

• Conducts business as a courteous and professional representative of Holland Hospital; including professional personal appearance and timely and accurate communication with internal and external customers.
• Escorts individuals back to ED rooms and other areas as necessary.
• Perform basic transport of individuals and items to designated locations.
• Supports Security dispatch operations, including (but not limited to); answering phones and dispatching officers to respond.
• Willingly accepts additional responsibilities and/or projects as assigned by Security leadership.
