Application Instructions McNamara Contracting, a McNamara Company, is seeking a skilled Skid Loader Operator to join a patch crew. The primary function of the Skid Loader Operator is to support asphalt repair, milling, and patching operations by safely and efficiently operating a skid loader, including the safe transportation of construction equipment as needed to and from sites. You will play a key role in preparing repair areas, removing damaged asphalt, loading materials, and assisting the patch crew with maintaining productivity, safety and high-quality craftsmanship. Job duties also include removals of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, and bike trails.
Position Description Position Description: - Operate skid loader to remove damaged asphalt, mill out repair areas, and prep surfaces for patching.
- Removals of concrete and bituminous and in preparation for new concrete and asphalt installation.
- Transport skid loader and other equipment to and from job sites.
- Fine-grade patch locations to proper depth and slope prior to paving.
- Assist with saw cutting, cleaning edges, and preparing repair areas when needed.
- Maintain safe work zones around the skid loader and communicate clearly with ground personnel.
- Work closely with other crew members with raking, shoveling, lute work, compaction, or traffic control when not operating the machine.
- Perform daily machine inspections and routine maintenance including fueling, greasing, checking fluids, cleaning.
- Report equipment issues or damage immediately to the foreman or shop.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including safe operation of equipment near crew members and other machinery.
- Assist crew with general labor duties when equipment operation is not required.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements Requirements: - CDL class A is required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 3-years' experience operating a skid steer loader required; removal work and/or asphalt patching or paving experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of asphalt paving operations and equipment.
- Ability to work collectively as a team and independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Additional Information: - Exposure to outdoor work environments under varying conditions.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak paving season, including Saturdays.
- Ability to work in high-paced, dynamic surroundings and swift decision-making.
- Ability to lift various dimensions and weights frequently.
- Frequent travel between job sites.

Pay: $46.25/hour - based on union scale
