Survey Technician
Survey Technician - Civil Engineering - Land Development
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician to assist in the planning and execution of land surveys, ensuring accurate measurements and data collection for various projects. The ideal candidate will support our survey team in producing high-quality deliverables while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed survey drawings and maps using Civil 3D and other software.
- Assist in the preparation of legal descriptions and final plats.
- Document and maintain survey field notes accurately.
- Ensure compliance with Arizona Boundary Survey Minimum Standards and municipal submittal requirements.
- Assist in the evaluation of property boundary lines and prepare ALTA surveys when required.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Perform calculations related to construction and as-builts to verify survey accuracy.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Survey Technician with a strong understanding of boundary surveying.
- Proficient in Civil 3D and other surveying software such as MicroStation.
- Knowledge of topographic survey methods and practices.
- Familiarity with Public Land Survey System and title commitments.
- Experience with legal descriptions, easements, and public/private survey documentation.
- Ability to work in the field and handle various surveying equipment such as Trimble.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to perform construction calculations.
