Join Kindle Unlimited as a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that shape the future of digital reading. You'll drive programs that expand our selection, enhance discovery, and create delightful reading experiences for customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
• Own large-scale technical programs across multiple engineering teams, from conception through delivery
• Partner with engineering leaders, product managers, and business stakeholders to define strategy and roadmap for critical Kindle Unlimited initiatives
• Drive architectural decisions and technical solutions that enable seamless content delivery and discovery at global scale
• Lead cross-organizational efforts to optimize our content ingestion, recommendation systems, and reader analytics platforms
• Identify and resolve complex technical and operational challenges across distributed systems
• Mentor other TPMs and help raise the bar for technical program management

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of technical program management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong track record delivering complex technical programs with multiple dependencies
• Experience working with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures
• Excellence in written and verbal communication, including technical documentation
• Proven ability to influence without authority and drive consensus across teams

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with content delivery networks, recommendation systems, or digital media platforms
• Track record of improving engineering efficiency and eliminating technical debt
• Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics systems
• Background in publishing technology or digital content platforms
• Experience mentoring other technical program managers

- Define and drive the technical direction and architecture for large, complex software systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate with Product Management, User Experience, internal technical teams, and leadership to identify business opportunities, shape the product roadmap, and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Hire, develop, and mentor high-performing engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture that enables both individual and team success.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle, championing engineering best practices and ensuring operational excellence for large-scale production services.
- Continuously monitor and report on development progress, quality, and system performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Experience in technical product or program management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
