Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an RN with active MI licensure and ECMO specialist experience for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring Epic proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) caring for pediatric and occasional adult patients
• Day shift, alternating 3x12 and 2x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:00), averaging 32 hours per week
• Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 for pediatric circuits and 1:3 in adults with remote monitoring
• No floating or on-call duties required
• Requires working 2 weekends per 4-week departmental schedule
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Main responsibilities include caring for critically ill pediatric cardiovascular patients and managing ECMO circuits
• Orientation modules are completed onsite
• Holiday coverage requirements follow departmental guidelines
• Travelers who were permanent staff at any client facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• First-time travelers are accepted if all experience requirements are met
• Return to work is allowed for past employees after a one-year break
• No time off (RTO) is allowed during the first week of the contract
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

• Active Michigan RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum one year of RN experience with specialist ECMO expertise in an urban or academic medical center
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience as an ECMO specialist is mandatory
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Two professional references from a manager or supervisor are required
• Flu shot required with no exemptions allowed
