Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and proficiency with Epic EMR for an acute care setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Position is in an acute care hospital ultrasound department
  • Day shift schedule, working 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Occasional weekend and on-call shifts are required
  • Must be willing to float between similar units and to affiliated hospitals nearby
  • Patient ratios and specific caseload details are not specified
  • Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
  • Radiology staff must wear black scrubs
  • Responsibilities include performing general ultrasound procedures and supporting patient care in the radiology department
  • Travelers may be required to float between affiliated facilities within the state
  • Holiday coverage is required for 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
  • Return policy requires former staff to wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates are accepted but must live outside a 50-mile radius
  • All time-off requests (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is at the manager's discretion
  • Completion of non-billable onboarding modules prior to start is required
  • Radiology staff are expected to wear black scrubs while on duty

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a general ultrasound technologist
  • Valid CA license in hand required
  • Experience with Epic EMR is required
  • References from at least 2 supervisors covering 1 year of recent employment in a comparable setting
  • Must be able to provide required documentation including certifications, SS card, and DL
  • License required if applicable
