Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring a CA RN license and strong trauma ICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Trauma ICU within a hospital setting
• Care for adolescent through geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
• Floating required within the service line
• Uses Cerner EMR with required experience
• Perform comprehensive care including dysrhythmia interpretation, management of multi-system organ failure, and IV insulin protocols
• Care for patients with GI surgery, renal failure, and chronic/acute conditions
• Manage CVVHD/CRRT, shunts, and fistulas
• Provide arterial and central line management, blood product administration, and procedural sedation
• Respond to cardiac and neuro situations such as CVA/acute stroke and ICP monitoring
• Assist with invasive procedures including chest tube insertion/removal and EVD management
• Manage ventilated patients, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, and interpret ABGs
• Adhere to infection prevention, isolation precautions, and use of PPE
• All requested time off must be submitted with initial application
• Scrub color or dress code not specified

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Trauma ICU experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS, and TNCC or TCAR
• Experience in trauma care and surgical intensive care unit required
• Cerner charting experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• COVID vaccination required
