Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Bedford Park, Illinois

Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available

Schedule: All Shifts Available (Days/Afternoons/Overnights)

Salary: $18.25 An Hour

Description: We are looking for a diligent and dependable individual to join our team as an Unarmed Security Officer. In this role, your main responsibility will be to protect the safety and security of our client’s premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and calmness.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly patrol assigned areas to deter and identify unauthorized activities.

• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to any suspicious behavior or security breaches.

• Carry out thorough inspections to ensure all doors, windows, and access points are secure.

• Quickly respond to requests for assistance or emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, and accidents.
• Keep detailed and accurate logs and reports of security incidents, disturbances, and other significant activities during your shifts.
• Deliver excellent customer service by helping visitors, employees, and clients with inquiries, directions, and other needs.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations to maintain security standards and ensure compliance.
• Engage in continuous training to stay informed about security protocols, emergency response procedures, and relevant laws.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a security officer or guard

• 20-hour state certification and PERC Card

• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety

• Familiarity with report writing

• Excellent surveillance and observation skills

• Valid Drivers License

• Reliable Transportation

• High School diploma is required; further education in security administration or a similar field is preferred
