This position is responsible for leading, motivating, training and supporting the activities of a company warehouse through a team of warehouse personnel. This person will ensure that shipping, receiving, storage and distribution are performed in an efficient manner and that all necessary precautions are taken to protect warehouse contents against loss. Key responsibilities include supervising general warehouse operations and employees, scheduling inbound and outbound arrivals, maintaining dock presence, enforcing policies and procedures, maximizing productivity through training and supervision, hiring, training, coaching and evaluating warehouse personnel, maintaining safety, security, and cleanliness throughout the facility, and performing every duty in the warehouse as needed to meet objectives and goals. The role supervises 20-35 employees, manages over $2.5M in inventory, and uses production tools to measure employee productivity. Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or GED with 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent, 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience, understanding of safe receiving, storing, requisitions, shipping and delivery methods, basic knowledge of inventory procedures, strong organizational skills, proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems, and up to 5% travel. Preferred requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. Supervisory responsibilities include up to 10-15 reports. Physical demands include frequent hearing, listening, talking, sitting, repetitive hand motion, standing, walking, and occasional bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching overhead, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 350 pounds. The job is full-time with a 2nd shift schedule and pays $67-77K per year including hourly rate plus shift differential pay.
