About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Manager in the successful delivery of construction projects. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to shift priorities quickly, and strong communication with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. The Assistant Project Manager will help oversee project organization, scheduling, documentation, material submittals, and material management while ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and day-to-day tasks.
Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular updates.
Attend meetings (pre-bid, job site, inspections) and prepare detailed notes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
Manage project documentation, permits, submittals, and inspection coordination.
Handle scheduling, calendars, and reminders for project deadlines.
Order, track, and manage project materials to avoid delays and cost overruns.
Utilize BuilderTrend for data entry, reporting, and workflow management.
Qualifications
Prior experience in construction project coordination or management support required.
Prior experience with material submittals required.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency with project management software (BuilderTrend a plus).
Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
