TRC Talent is looking for a Forklift Operator for our client in Kennesaw, GA

Job Details:

• Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
• Temp to Hire
• $17-18/hr

Key Responsibilities:

1. Forklift Operation:

   • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
   • Safely stack and unstack pallets, boxes, and other materials as required.
   • Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure forklift is in good working condition.

2. Material Handling:

   • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
   • Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory rotation and organization.
   • Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory counts as needed.

3. Order Fulfillment:

   • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer requirements.
   • Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, palletizing, and wrapping.
   • Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely deliveries.

4. Warehouse Maintenance:

   • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and housekeeping protocols.
   • Dispose of waste materials and recycle where appropriate.
   • Assist in general warehouse duties such as sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage areas.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Complete necessary documentation for inventory movements, shipments, and receipts.
   • Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
   • Utilize warehouse management software to update inventory records and track shipments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably with a sit-down forklift.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
• Standing, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
