Sprinkler Fitter Technician – Long-Term Opportunity

Location: North Charleston, SC
Pay: $25 – $35/hr (based on experience) + Overtime Opportunities

About the Position

We’re seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fitter Technician to join our team on a long-term project with a leading fire protection contractor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair fire protection sprinkler systems according to blueprints, specifications, and NFPA codes.
• Thread, groove, and install pipe fittings and valves.
• Inspect, test, and maintain fire suppression systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, and general contractors to ensure compliance with job requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies on every job site.

Requirements

• 2+ years of sprinkler fitting experience (commercial or industrial preferred).
• Familiarity with fire codes and NFPA standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter license or NICET certification preferred (not required).
