Work you'll do

Collaborates with Application Teams, Member Firms, Business Analysts, IT Architects, Development Team Members, and Infrastructure Operations to provide performance management services and expertise across the entire service catalog of GTS. Provides performance planning, testing, execution, analysis, and recommendations across the Infrastructure and the Application. Provides technical input into planning efforts. Creates technical testing strategy and technical scope. Prepares, executes, and monitors all testing activities. Develops tools for the parsing of logs generate by the AUT. Maintains test lab including the performance tools and the performance environment. Ensures that the testing environment is ready and available. Creates specific test cases (including data requirements). Creates test report following the standards template. Reports testing defects and non-compliance to requirements. Designs, develops and maintains testing hardware assets. Provides insights and recommendations on performance for specific applications and our global architecture. Partners with our application development to design & implement performance improvements. Practices and enforces Agile and Scrum methodologies. Maintains awareness of application and computer system architecture. Conductions knowledge sharing and documentation. Conducts performance reports and dashboards. Tests metrics and recommendation report.

Qualifications

Requirements

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Performance Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:
  1. Gathering performance requirements, implementing performance test strategies and designing performance test scenarios.
  2. Creating and maintaining system load profiles (workload characterizations), including mathematical models used to predict system performance under stress.
  3. Designing, developing and executing performance test suites for projects and regular release cycles using LoadRunner and JMeter.
  4. Conducting performance, stress, and scalability testing to ensure all software products are free of errors and work as expected.
  5. Identifying performance bottlenecks, collaborating with software development, and devops teams to remediate performance issues.
  6. Preparing detailed reports on the results of performance tests, documenting any defects and systems errors.
