Overview Wordpress Developer role at Profiles. Location: Irvine, CA. This is a full-time contract-to-hire position, onsite 2 days a week. Join to apply for the Wordpress Developer role at Profiles . Base pay range $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr Responsibilities Develop, customize, and maintain high-performance, responsive WordPress themes and plugins. Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for all WordPress-related development, maintenance, and strategy. Ensure the security, scalability, and uptime of high-traffic websites. Collaborate with marketing teams to implement and manage lead funnels, landing pages, and A/B tests using tools like GTM, GA4, and Zoho. Develop custom Gutenberg blocks using React.js to empower our content teams. Manage all technical aspects of the CMS, including plugin and core updates, version control via Git, and database optimization. Build and maintain integrations between WordPress and other business-critical systems, such as Salesforce, internal APIs, and marketing automation platforms. Work alongside other software engineers to align on best practices, code standards, and deployment processes. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, from performance bottlenecks to plugin conflicts. Qualifications 3-5 years of professional experience in WordPress Development. Proven experience managing and scaling high-traffic WordPress websites. Expert-level proficiency in PHP and a deep understanding of the WordPress architecture (hooks, APIs, etc.). Strong experience with version control systems, specifically Git and collaborative workflows. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
