Niko’s Bakery & Café is a bustling, European-inspired bakery and café known for scratch-made pastries, breads, sandwiches, and espresso drinks. Our team thrives in a fast-paced, upbeat environment where quality, consistency, and great service come first.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a friendly, energetic Barista who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in creating great customer experiences. This role goes beyond just making coffee — you’ll be part of the heartbeat of the café, helping with customer service, running food, stocking, and cleaning.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with consistency and care
• Provide excellent customer service and assist guests at the register
• Run food and beverages to tables promptly and accurately
• Stock supplies, restock displays, and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and end-of-day closing tasks
• Support other team members and jump in where needed
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times

Schedule:

• Must be available for occasional 5:30 am opening shifts
• Regular midday and closing shifts (10 or 11 am – 4:30 pm or later)
• We close at 4 pm, with approximately one hour of closing duties afterward
• Flexible scheduling available, but reliability is key

• Self-starters who take initiative and notice what needs to be done — those who apply themselves go far here!
• Previous barista or food service experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
